Absen Joins Barco LED Alliance, Adds Infinipix Processor to KLCOB V3

Absen has joined Barco's LED Alliance, a program that puts Barco's Infinipix image processor directly into third-party LED hardware. The first result is integration across three pitch sizes, 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm, of Absen's KLCOB V3 series, according to the companies.
For operators and integrators speccing fine-pitch LED for control rooms, studios, meeting rooms, exhibition halls or retail spaces, the deal means another major LED manufacturer is shipping walls with processing built in and factory-tested, rather than leaving image processing to a separate outboard box sourced and configured independently.
What Infinipix adds
Barco says the processor improves sharpness, consistency and uniformity across a wall. Two features are named specifically. True Dynamic Range uses 24-bit colour processing to preserve grayscale and detail when a wall is run at reduced brightness, which matters for indoor environments like control rooms and meeting spaces where full brightness is rarely used. Smart-Calibration automatically applies the correct colour gamut, which should reduce manual calibration work for integrators during install and over the life of the display.
Absen vice-president Shaun Xiao said the KLCOB V3 is designed for a broad range of settings, from control rooms and studios to exhibition halls and retail, and that adding Infinipix gives customers "a proven image processing solution, tested together with Barco on our hardware." He said the aim is to let integrators design, set up and support walls with more confidence and give end users the picture quality they expect.
Where this sits in the market
Absen is not the first manufacturer to join the LED Alliance. Barco has previously integrated Infinipix into BOE's BYH Ultra and Unilumin's UPanel II and UMini W. That gives Barco processing technology a footprint across several of the larger LED panel makers, rather than tying it to a single hardware brand. For buyers, it suggests Infinipix is becoming more of a cross-vendor standard option on higher-end fine-pitch product rather than a Barco-exclusive feature tied to Barco's own displays.
The announcement does not say pricing, availability dates, or whether the Infinipix integration is standard on all KLCOB V3 units or an option. It also does not specify how this affects total cost of a wall compared with non-integrated alternatives, or whether existing KLCOB V3 installations can be retrofitted. Buyers evaluating the series will want those details from Absen or its resellers before assuming Infinipix comes as standard across the line.

Absen signing up to the LED Alliance will see Barco’s Infinipix image processor integrated into the 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm models of the LED display manufacturer’s KLCOB V3 series.
Barco has signed a deal for Absen to join its LED Alliance.
The partnership will see Barco’s Infinipix image processor integrated into the 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm models of the LED manufacturer’s KLCOB V3 series.
The integration of the processor into the display produces a sharper, more consistent and more uniform image.
Two Infinipix’s True Dynamic Range uses 24-bit colour processing to keep grayscale and detail intact when a wall runs at reduced brightness, while Smart-Calibration automatically applies the correct colour gamut.
The LED Alliance initiative has previously seen BOE’s BYH Ultra and Unilumin’s UPanel II and UMini W integrated with the Infinipix image processor.
Absen vice-president Shaun Xiao said: “Our KLCOB V3 is designed for all scenarios – from control rooms and studios to meeting rooms, exhibition halls and retail spaces – delivering flawless visuals every day for years to come.
“Bringing Infinipix on to the platform gives our customers a proven image processing solution, tested together with Barco on our hardware.
“Integrators can design, set up and support these walls with more confidence, and end users get the picture quality they expect.”
