Bauer Media Group Buys German DOOH Operator eisbach.media
2026-10-16 · via DailyDOOH
Bauer Media Group has signed an agreement to acquire eisbach.media GmbH, a digital out-of-home operator in Germany, from Goldbach Group AG (TX Group). The deal gives Bauer control of a network the company says includes around 1,500 digital screens across the country, placed in shopping malls, on Digital City Light Posters, and at Uber Platz in Berlin.
For operators and media owners watching consolidation in European DOOH, this is Bauer's first direct move into the German out-of-home market, which the release describes as one of the largest and most established in Europe. Germany has long been dominated by a handful of large players running mall networks, street furniture and transit screens, so a new owner with Bauer's publishing and audio reach entering that mix is worth tracking for anyone selling inventory or buying campaigns in that market.
The acquisition follows Bauer's purchase of Clear Channel Europe-North last year, which the company frames as a deliberate build-out of Outdoor as a third line of business alongside its existing Publishing and Audio divisions. Taken together, the two deals suggest Bauer intends to assemble a cross-border DOOH footprint rather than treat this as a one-off opportunistic buy.
What the announcement does not say matters here too. There is no detail on what Bauer plans to do with eisbach.media's screen estate, whether the network will be rebranded, folded into an existing sales house, or run as a standalone unit. The financial terms of the transaction are confidential, so there is no way to judge the price against the size of the screen network or compare it to other recent OOH deals. The release also does not specify a timeline for closing beyond noting that the deal is subject to regulatory approval, and that eisbach.media and Bauer will continue operating independently until then.
For advertisers and agencies currently buying inventory through eisbach.media, the practical sales relationship appears unchanged for now. Anyone with programmatic or direct bookings on the Digital City Light Posters or the Uber Platz screens should expect continuity until the transaction formally closes, though longer-term questions about platform integration, measurement standards and sales representation will likely surface once Bauer takes ownership.
The move adds to a run of ownership changes across European DOOH networks this year, and it puts Bauer in more direct competition with the established German operators it will now be selling against.

Bauer Media Group Acquires eisbach.media GmbH
Bauer Media Group has signed an agreement to acquire eisbach.media GmbH, a specialist digital Out of Home provider in Germany, from Goldbach Group AG (TX Group). eisbach.media markets around 1,500 digital screens across Germany, including in shopping malls, on Digital City Light Posters, and at Uber Platz in Berlin.
The acquisition marks Bauer Media Group’s entry into the German Out of Home market – one of the largest and most established OOH markets in Europe. It is a consistent continuation of the development of Outdoor as a third Line of Business alongside Publishing and Audio, following last year’s acquisition of Clear Channel Europe-North.
Closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Until completion, eisbach.media and Bauer Media Group continue to operate independently in the market.
The financial details of the transaction remain confidential.
