Chief Launches TiLED Universal Trim Kits for LED Video Wall Perimeters

Legrand AV brand Chief has released a line of trim kits meant to hide exposed cabinet edges and cabling on dvLED video walls after the panels are already mounted. For integrators, that means no field cutting or custom millwork to get a finished look around a video wall.
The TiLED Universal Trim Kits are a modular system made up of side panels, top and bottom panels, seam covers and corner pieces. Chief says the kits can be bought as individual components or as pre-configured sets sized for common 27-inch panel configurations. Top and bottom vents are built in to maintain airflow around the displays, which matters for LED panels that generate heat and rely on ventilation to avoid performance issues over time.
Chief is positioning the kits for what it calls design-forward spaces: corporate lobbies, higher-education campuses, retail stores and hospitality venues, the kinds of installs where an unfinished cabinet edge or visible cabling undercuts the investment in the display itself. That is a real pain point for integrators, who have historically had two options for finishing a video wall perimeter: custom millwork, which adds cost and lead time, or field-cut trim, which can be inconsistent from install to install and dependent on the crew doing the work.
Compatibility
The trim kits work with Chief's TiLED Universal mounts and legacy TiLED mounts, as well as TiLED Off-the-Wall mounting systems with an adapter. Chief also says the kits are compatible with third-party mounting systems, provided the video wall depth falls between 76.2mm and 133.35mm. That range covers a fair number of common dvLED cabinet depths on the market, though integrators using deeper or shallower cabinets will want to check fit before specifying.
The announcement does not give pricing or availability dates, and it does not say whether the kits are available in different finishes or colors beyond the standard configuration, which will matter to designers trying to match a wall to surrounding architecture.
David Albright, Chief's senior product manager for video wall solutions and services, said finishing details are critical when dvLED walls go into design-forward spaces, and argued integrators should not have to choose between a polished result and a predictable timeline.
For operators and integrators, the practical upside is time. Off-the-shelf trim that snaps on after installation removes a step that has traditionally required either a carpenter or a lot of on-site measuring and cutting. Whether it holds up as well as custom millwork over years of use in high-traffic public spaces is something the market will have to judge once the kits are in the field.

The trim kits offer integrators an off-the-shelf modular perimeter finish for LED video wall installations that is fitted after the panels are in place, with no cutting or fabrication required.
Legrand AV brand Chief has launched a range of trim kits to enclose exposed cabinet edges and conceal cabling around dvLED video walls.
The TiLED Universal Trim Kits are designed to offer integrators a quick way of delivering a clean, architectural perimeter finish on video wall installations without the cost lead time, or unpredictability of custom millwork or field-cut alternatives.
The modular finishing system comprises side and top/bottom panels, seam covers and corner components. The trim is available as individual components or as pre-configured kits sized for common 27″ configurations. Top and bottom vents provide a cooling airflow that protects the displays.
The TiLED Universal Trim Kits are aimed at environments where dvLED installations have high visibility including corporate lobbies, higher-education campuses, shops and hospitality spaces.
They are compatible with TiLED Universal mounts, legacy TiLED mounts and TiLED Off-the-Wall mounting systems (adapter required), as well as third-party mounts with a video wall depth of 76.2mm-133.35 mm.
David Albright, Chief’s senior product manager for video wall solutions and services, said: “When dvLED video walls are deployed into design-forward spaces, the finishing details are critical.
“Integrators shouldn’t have to choose between a polished result and a predictable timeline. TiLED Universal Trim Kits give them both.”
