Clear Channel Outdoor's airports division has renewed and expanded its advertising concession at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), a contract that dates back to 2005. The company won the renewal through a competitive bid process, according to a press release.

For operators watching the airport advertising segment, this is a case study in how digital out-of-home contracts get extended and upgraded alongside terminal construction cycles. ECP is in the middle of a terminal expansion and modernization project, and CCO says it will put more capital into the airport's ad program as that work proceeds.

The release names one specific hardware element: a network of double-sided digital flags to be installed throughout the concourse. Beyond that, CCO says the program will include new digital media, experiential activations and refreshed displays, but the announcement does not specify display counts, screen sizes, player hardware, content management software or installation timelines. It also does not disclose the length or value of the renewed contract.

Morten Gotterup, president of Clear Channel Outdoor's airports division, said in the release that ECP performs well above its size and that the renewal reflects a long collaborative relationship. ECP Executive Director Parker W. McClellan Jr. said the airport is focused on enhancing the traveler experience during the expansion and sees CCO's investment in digital infrastructure as a way to modernize concourses while giving brands new ways to reach passengers.

The airport's traffic numbers underpin the business case for the expanded ad buy: ECP says it served a record 1.9 million passengers in 2025, up 3.1% year over year, since opening in 2010. For media buyers and airport operators, that growth curve is the justification for adding inventory now rather than waiting for the terminal project to finish.

This deal fits a broader pattern of legacy out-of-home operators defending airport contracts against competitive rebids by committing to digital upgrades tied to capital projects, rather than purely on price.

Clear Channel Outdoor's airports division has renewed and expanded its longstanding partnership with Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP).

Originally established in 2005 and reselected through a competitive process, the renewed agreement reflects two decades of operational performance and the airport's confidence in CCO's ability to deliver on its next chapter of growth, according to a press release .

As the airport undertakes a major terminal expansion and modernization project, CCO will invest more in the airport's advertising program with new digital media, experiential activations and refreshed displays.

The centerpiece of the program will be a network of double-sided digital flags throughout the concourse.

"ECP is a market that performs well above its size, and this renewal is a reflection of what a strong collaborative partnership produces over time," Morten Gotterup, president, Clear Channel Outdoor's airports division, said in the release. "As ECP invests in the next generation of its terminal, we have an opportunity to invest into that experience and to build something that reflects both where this airport is today and where it's headed. Our new program will bring together digital, experiential and high-impact media to continue to delight passengers and the brands that want to reach them for years to come."

ECP has experienced sustained growth since opening in 2010, serving a record 1.9 million passengers in 2025, representing a 3.1% year-over-year increase.

Clear Channel's commitment to investing in state-of-the-art digital infrastructure and experiential activations will not only modernize our concourses but also provide powerful new avenues for local and national brands to connect with our growing passenger base. We are proud to build upon our history together and look forward to a new era of innovation that supports ECP's long-term commercial vitality," ECP Executive Director Parker W. McClellan Jr., A.A.E. said in the release.
