Digital signage software provider Evexi has named Thorvin Electronics its exclusive distributor in Canada, giving the company's cloud-native CMS a route into a market of AV integrators and resellers it did not previously serve directly.

For operators and integrators in Canada, the deal means Evexi's platform now sits alongside Thorvin's existing lines from BrightSign, Bluefin and Nexmosphere, rather than requiring a separate sourcing relationship. Thorvin, founded in 1974, describes itself as a value-added AV distributor serving communications dealers and technology partners, so the addition is being framed as a software complement to hardware it already moves.

Evexi's pitch is hardware flexibility. According to the companies, the CMS manages content, devices and interactive experiences across Samsung Tizen and LG webOS displays, certified Android devices, Windows and Linux systems, and media players from Amino and BrightSign. It also integrates directly with Nexmosphere's interactive sensor hardware, which is relevant for retailers or venues building touch or motion-triggered experiences rather than straight playback loops.

That cross-platform approach puts Evexi in a crowded field of CMS vendors competing on the same claim: one dashboard to manage mixed display and player fleets instead of being locked into a single manufacturer's ecosystem. The announcement does not specify what differentiates Evexi's implementation from rivals making similar claims, nor does it give details on pricing, licensing structure, or minimum deployment size, all of which a Canadian integrator evaluating the platform would want before quoting a client.

The release also notes that Evexi integrates with Square, which opens the door to combined signage and payment setups aimed at quick-service restaurant applications, such as menu boards that tie into point-of-sale transactions. This is a feature several CMS platforms have been adding as digital menu boards increasingly need to talk to ordering and payment systems rather than just display content.

"Evexi gives our partners greater freedom to select the right hardware for each deployment while managing content, devices and interactive experiences through a single platform," said Jean-Marc Langevin, president of Thorvin Electronics, in the announcement.

The announcement does not disclose financial terms of the distribution agreement, nor does it say whether Thorvin will offer Evexi on an exclusive basis across all of Canada or in specific verticals. It also does not indicate when the partnership takes effect or whether existing Thorvin customers will see any transition support in migrating from other CMS platforms.

The agreement gives Canadian integrators access to Evexi’s cloud-native digital signage CMS through Thorvin Electronics, alongside hardware and interactive technologies already in the distributor’s portfolio.

Digital signage software provider Evexi has appointed Thorvin Electronics as its exclusive Canadian distributor, expanding the platform’s availability to AV integrators and resellers nationwide.

Founded in 1974, Thorvin is a Canadian value-added AV distributor serving communications dealers and technology partners. The addition of Evexi expands its digital signage software portfolio and complements existing relationships with BrightSign, Bluefin and Nexmosphere.

Evexi is a cloud-native digital signage CMS designed to manage content, devices and interactive experiences across different display and media player platforms.

The platform supports Samsung Tizen and LG webOS displays, certified Android devices, Windows and Linux, as well as Amino and BrightSign media players. It also integrates directly with Nexmosphere interactive sensors.

The companies are positioning Evexi’s hardware flexibility as a key part of the Canadian offering, allowing integrators to select different display and playback technologies while managing deployments through one CMS.

“Evexi gives our partners greater freedom to select the right hardware for each deployment while managing content, devices and interactive experiences through a single platform,” said Jean-Marc Langevin, president of Thorvin Electronics.

Evexi also integrates with Square, enabling integrators to combine digital signage and payment functionality for QSR applications.
