JCDecaux reported revenue of €1,010.5 million for the third quarter of 2026, up 9.1 percent from €926.1 million a year earlier, according to the company. Organic growth, which strips out currency effects, acquisitions and disposals, came in at 6.6 percent, beating the company's own forecast of 5 percent and reversing a 0.9 percent organic decline in the same quarter of 2025.

This is the second consecutive quarter JCDecaux has cleared €1 billion in revenue, after first hitting that mark in Q2. For an out-of-home operator of its size, two quarters in a row above that threshold signals the recovery in outdoor advertising spend has stuck rather than being a one-off rebound.

Digital and programmatic lead growth

Digital inventory accounted for roughly €459 million of the quarter, by calculation from the figures JCDecaux provided, up from about €387 million a year earlier. That is 18.5 percent growth, or 15.3 percent organically. Digital's share of total group revenue rose from 41.8 percent to 45.4 percent, meaning nearly half of JCDecaux's business now runs through digital screens rather than static panels.

Programmatic sales grew even faster, reaching a calculated €61 million against roughly €42 million a year ago, a 37.5 percent organic increase. Programmatic's share of digital revenue climbed from 10.8 percent to 13.3 percent. For media buyers and the DOOH networks competing for programmatic budgets, that growth rate suggests automated buying is still in its early scaling phase for JCDecaux rather than approaching a ceiling.

By segment, transport revenue reached €387.3 million, up 12.1 percent (7.7 percent organic), with the UK and North America posting double-digit organic gains. Transport revenue declined in the "Rest of the World" region, which JCDecaux attributes to the conflict in the Middle East. Street furniture brought in €492.9 million, up 7.9 percent (7.3 percent organic). Billboards grew the slowest, up 5.4 percent overall but only 1.4 percent organically, with JCDecaux noting a slight dip in France as it trims its billboard portfolio there.

JCDecaux expects organic growth of around 6 percent for the fourth quarter.

The results follow news that JCDecaux extended its contract with London Heathrow Airport by eight years, starting January 2027. The deal covers more than 680 DOOH screens and other sites including the T5 Towers, giving the company a long runway on one of its highest-profile transport venues at a time when transport advertising is already outperforming the rest of its portfolio in several key markets.

The announcement does not break out which categories or advertisers drove the programmatic growth, nor does it specify margin or profitability figures for the quarter.
