KTC Gets Early Access to NDI SDK for Native IP Video in Displays

NDI has signed a strategic partnership with Shenzhen KTC Technology that gives the display manufacturer early access to NDI's Advanced SDK (ASDK), the toolkit used to embed IP video directly into hardware. For operators buying commercial displays and digital signage panels, it means native NDI support could start showing up built into KTC screens rather than bolted on through external boxes or decoders.
NDI is a widely used protocol for sending video over standard IP networks instead of dedicated coax or HDMI runs. Signage and AV integrators use it to move live or dynamic video content across a site without running separate cabling for every source and display. Several display and player brands already ship with NDI support, so this deal is less about a first-of-its-kind feature and more about how deep that support goes and how quickly it reaches a large manufacturer's product line.
Under the agreement, KTC becomes what the companies call a preferred NDI technology provider for display solutions. For anyone specifying displays, the practical draw is simplifying AV infrastructure. Native NDI support can reduce the need for point-to-point video runs and external converters when distributing content across multiple screens on a network, which the companies say lowers cost and complexity compared with traditional AV setups.
The announcement does not specify which KTC display lines will get NDI support first, when native NDI models will ship, or pricing. NDI has entered into a strategic partnership with Shenzhen KTC Technology Co to bring native NDI connectivity to the manufacturer’s commercial displays, digital signage and interactive panels.
Under the agreement, KTC becomes a preferred NDI technology provider for display solutions, with early access to the NDI Advanced SDK (the “ASDK”) — NDI’s toolkit for embedding professional-grade IP video directly into hardware.
The integration of NDI-enabled IP video capabilities into KTC’s commercial display, digital signage and interactive panel product lines will make it easier for customers to deploy network-based video workflows without the cost and complexity of traditional point-to-point AV infrastructures.
