Leyard Europe Expands UK and Ireland Team with New Hires
2026-09-25 · via DailyDOOH
Leyard Europe has added several staff to its UK and Ireland operation, according to a company announcement, as the LED display manufacturer looks to grow in a region it calls one of its fastest-expanding markets. For integrators and end users who buy LED walls for corporate, retail, control room or public sector projects, the moves signal more local sales and support headcount to call on, though the announcement gives no figures on budget or targets behind the expansion.
Guy Phelps joins as Territory Head for the UK and Ireland. He previously held senior sales roles at Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe, NEC Display Solutions Europe and Panasonic, and the release credits him with more than 15 years in the professional display industry. Matt Stone joins as Regional Sales Manager covering Ireland, Northern England and Scotland, arriving from roles at Lightware Visual Engineering, Haivision and Kinly, with a background the company says spans workplace technology, control rooms and enterprise AV.
Two existing staff get expanded titles: Lee Baxter becomes Director of Channel UK & Ireland, tasked according to the release with building a new partner programme, and Luke Marler-Hausen becomes Director of Strategic Projects and Business Development, focused on bespoke and architecturally complex LED installations. Esther Rowe joins as Marketing Manager, based in the UK but with responsibility across Europe, and Catherine Bartrum has joined as Inside Sales Executive supporting the UK and Ireland sales cycle.
Showroom and manufacturing tie-in
The hires follow the opening of a Leyard and Planar UK Showroom & VIP Lounge at 11 Cursitor Street in London, which the company positions as a place for customers, consultants and integrators to see display technology and work through projects. Filip Cogghe, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service for Europe at Leyard Europe, is quoted saying the company is investing in people, facilities and infrastructure to support UK and Ireland demand, and points to manufacturing at Leyard Europe's Presov, Slovakia facility as part of what it calls a European supply chain approach.
For buyers, the practical takeaway is a larger regional sales and channel team plus a physical demo space in London, which matters for anyone evaluating LED over LCD video walls for control rooms, retail or hospitality projects and wanting to see panels before committing. The announcement does not disclose new product launches, pricing changes or specific project wins tied to this expansion, and it does not say how many total staff Leyard Europe now has in the UK and Ireland or what growth numbers are driving the investment. It reads as a personnel and infrastructure update rather than a technology announcement, but it is worth noting for anyone tracking which LED vendors are building out dedicated UK channel and support operations as competition in that segment continues.
