Monumental Sports & Entertainment has named LG Electronics USA the official display partner for the renovation of Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., according to a press release. The multi-year deal covers exterior LED displays, interior LED and television screens throughout the venue, digital displays in a new business and conference center, and a large concourse video wall the companies call the "Visibowl."

For operators tracking large-venue LED deployments, the scale here is the headline. MSE says the Visibowl will replace traditional concourse walls with more than 500 feet of digital display, using LG's Direct View LED technology to keep fans connected to the game or event while they move through the building. The release does not specify pixel pitch, resolution, or total display area beyond that linear footage, so it's not yet clear how this compares technically to other arena concourse installs.

ANC, a venue technology integrator, will handle installation, integration and ongoing service for the new systems. That detail matters for anyone evaluating how MSE plans to keep hundreds of feet of LED running reliably across a full NHL and NBA season plus concerts and other bookings. The release does not name a content management or scheduling platform, so how the Visibowl and the arena's other displays will be programmed and controlled day to day remains unstated.

The partnership also includes something called the "LG Collective," described as a premium seating destination for Washington Capitals and Wizards games and select arena events. MSE says that debuts at the start of the 2026-27 season, which gives a rough timeline for when at least part of this build-out needs to be live. No broader completion date for the arena renovation or the Visibowl itself is given in the release.

This is one of several recent moves by LG to lock up naming and hardware rights inside major sports venues, a category where Samsung, Daktronics and others also compete for exterior and concourse LED contracts. The release frames the deal as covering not just LED but also LG's television and appliance lines, suggesting the agreement extends beyond public-facing displays into back-of-house and hospitality spaces, though specifics on those installs are not detailed.

For digital signage buyers, the deal is another data point on how sports venues are treating concourse walls and exteriors as continuous display surfaces rather than isolated screens, a trend integrators will likely be asked to replicate at smaller scale in retail and corporate environments.
