Nanolumens Launches NanoBanner, a Mobile LED Display on Wheels

Nanolumens has introduced NanoBanner, a 72-inch portrait LED display built into a rolling base, positioning it as a direct replacement for static pull-up banners in lobbies, corridors and event spaces. For operators who currently manage printed banner stands alongside digital signage, this is an attempt to bring both into one plug-and-play format.
The unit plugs into a standard wall outlet and takes content over Wi-Fi, LAN or USB, according to the company. That means no dedicated data run or AV rack is required to get it running, which matters for anyone who has had to justify the cost of running conduit for a single portable display. At 1.5 inches thick, Nanolumens says the profile is shallow enough to fit the same footprint as a traditional pull-up banner, including tight entrances and corridors.
NanoBanner is available with either a 1.5mm or 1.9mm pixel pitch and Nanolumens quotes up to 800 nits of brightness, which it says is enough for a range of indoor lighting conditions. The company does not specify how the two pixel pitch options are priced or positioned against each other, so buyers will need to ask their reseller which fits their viewing distance.
Durability comes from what Nanolumens calls standard glue-on-board protection, with front access for servicing, a detail that matters for any deployment where the display might be repositioned or bumped during setup and teardown at events.
Scaling and management
Up to five NanoBanner units can be placed side by side, using a removable trim, to build a wider canvas up to 138 inches for presentations or event backdrops. Beyond the rolling base, Nanolumens says the display also supports wall-mounted and suspended installs with separately sold mounting hardware, giving it a second life as a fixed display if a venue's needs change.
Content is handled through Nanolumens' centralized management system, which the company says allows remote scheduling, status monitoring and multi-location management, along with both synchronized real-time playback and offline playback for sites without reliable connectivity.
Kurt DeYoung, chief revenue officer at Nanolumens, said organizations want signage that is easier to update, more engaging and adaptable across environments, and that NanoBanner keeps the familiar footprint of a pull-up banner while adding motion graphics, remote updates and repositioning.
The announcement does not give pricing, availability dates or battery/backup power options, which would matter for temporary event use away from a reliable outlet. It also does not say how NanoBanner compares on cost to fine-pitch competitors already selling portable LED poster or kiosk formats, a category several other LED manufacturers have entered in recent years as fine-pitch prices have fallen.

Featuring a built‑in rolling base, the 72″ portrait display will bring plug‑and‑play LED digital signage to high‑traffic environments that have traditionally relied on static pull‑up banners.
Nanolumens has launched a mobile 72″ portrait LED display that is designed as a plug-and-play digital signage solution for high-traffic environments.
Featuring a built-in rolling base, NanoBanner is aimed at delivering digital content to applications that have traditionally relied on static pull-up banners.
It plugs into a standard electrical outlet and supports content delivery through Wi-Fi, a local area network and USB, allowing organisations to update messaging without replacing printed materials.
Designed for space-constrained environments NanoBanner’s 1.5″ profile allows it to be placed in entrances, corridors and other space-constrained environments where traditional banner stands are commonly used.
Available with a 1.5mm or 1.9mm pixel pitch, the display delivers up to 800 nits of brightness for clear visibility across a range of indoor lighting conditions.
The display features standard glue-on-board protection to improve durability, while front-service access facilitates maintenance.
Up to five displays can be positioned side by side to create a seamless mobile LED canvas measuring 138″ for presentations and event backdrop. The removable trim helps create a continuous image across multiple units.
In addition to the included rolling base, NanoBanner also supports wall-mounted and suspended installations using separately available mounting solutions.
Centralised content management Centralised content management allows organisations to remotely schedule content, monitor display status and manage multiple units across different locations.
NanoBanner enables both real-time synchronised playback and offline playback, making it suitable for retail promotions, wayfinding, corporate communications and installations for temporary events.
Kurt DeYoung, chief revenue officer at Nanolumens, said: “Organisations are looking for signage that is easier to update, more engaging for their audience and adaptable across multiple environments.
“NanoBanner provides the familiar footprint of a traditional pull-up banner while offering users the flexibility to display motion graphics and update messaging remotely, and being able to reposition the display as needs change.
“NanoBanner allows organisations to extend digital signage into spaces where installing a permanent display may not be practical.”
