AV integrator Forté and LED manufacturer SNA Displays have completed a broadcast studio for Westminster Schools in Atlanta, built around a nearly 30-foot L-shaped LED video wall. The installation sits inside the Blake Center, a new facility on the private K-12 campus that opened in January 2026.

The project is a reminder that LED displays once reserved for stadiums, control rooms and corporate lobbies are now showing up in school production facilities, a market that AV integrators have been quietly building out as K-12 and university media programs expand.

The hardware

The display is SNA Displays' Brilliant Interior LED product, configured at roughly 27 feet 8 inches wide and nearly nine feet tall, split into two sections that meet at a corner to form the L-shape. It runs a 1.8mm pixel pitch and packs more than 6.4 million pixels, according to SNA Displays. That pitch is fine enough for close-up camera work, which matters for a studio where cameras will be shooting the wall at close range rather than audiences viewing it from a distance.

A motorized green screen is built into the setup, letting the studio switch between LED backdrops and traditional chroma key work depending on the production. The announcement does not specify the controller, processing hardware or content source feeding the wall, details an integrator evaluating a similar build would want to know.

The studio build

Forté handled AV design and installation beyond the display itself, including systems for bringing in remote guests and switching between production formats. The company also specified Power-over-Ethernet lighting for the studio, which carries both power and control signal over Ethernet cabling. That cuts down on the separate electrical and DMX runs a traditional studio lighting rig would need, and makes it simpler to reconfigure fixtures for different shows.

The studio supports Westminster's WCAT broadcast program, a student-run operation that started as a club in 2010 and has since won national recognition, including a 2017 National Student Production Award for live sports broadcasting. According to the project partners, faculty have already flagged the studio as one of the most-requested spaces in the new Blake Center, which also houses arts, engineering and technology facilities.

Neither company's statement discloses project cost or installation timeline. SNA Displays sales director Richard Hill said the technology should help students take their production skills further, a claim that reflects the vendor's framing of the project rather than independent verification.

For integrators, the project is a data point on where LED video wall demand is spreading: beyond retail, corporate and entertainment venues into education facilities that want broadcast-grade production tools for students.

A nearly 30-foot L-shaped LED wall anchors a new broadcast studio at Atlanta's Westminster Schools, giving students professional production tools for news, sports and digital storytelling.

Students at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta have a new broadcast studio that wouldn’t look out of place at a professional television station.

AV integrator Forté and SNA Displays collaborated on the studio inside the Blake Center, a facility that opened in January 2026 as part of the private K-12 school’s campus-wide development plan.

The centerpiece is a nearly 30-foot-wide, L-shaped LED wall from SNA Displays, designed to support student-produced news broadcasts, live sports coverage, podcasts, documentaries and other digital media projects.

The studio serves Westminster’s WCAT broadcast team, which has grown from a small extracurricular club founded in 2010 into an award-winning student production operation. Its accomplishments include a National Student Production Award for Best Sports – Live Event Broadcast in 2017.

The SNA Displays Brilliant Interior LED wall measures approximately 27 feet, 8 inches wide and nearly nine feet tall, with two sections joining at the studio corner.

Featuring a 1.8 mm pixel pitch and more than 6.4 million pixels, the display provides a large-format backdrop for a range of productions. A motorized green screen adds flexibility for news presentations, sports analysis and documentary work.

Forté handled the studio’s AV design and installation, including systems that accommodate remote guests and transitions between different production formats.

The integrator also recommended Power-over-Ethernet studio lighting, which combines power and control over Ethernet connections. The approach reduces cabling requirements and makes it easier to reconfigure the lighting for different productions.

The Blake Center brings together arts, engineering, technology and digital storytelling facilities under one roof. According to the project partners, teachers have already identified the broadcast studio as one of the center’s most requested learning spaces.

“Westminster students are producing professional-quality shows, and now they have a level of technology that will help them take those skills to the next level,” said Richard Hill, sales director for SNA Displays.
