Sony Professional Display Solutions is holding an open house stop of its multi-city AV Tech Expo in Manhattan on Friday, October 16, timed to Out of Home New York week. For operators and integrators who cover corporate and higher education AV environments, this is a chance to get hands-on time with Sony's newest display hardware before buying cycles move forward.

According to the announcement, attendees will be able to see the new Crystal LED UNIFY All-in-One and Crystal LED S Series, along with the BRAVIA BZ-P Series professional displays. The release does not detail specifications, pricing, or availability dates for any of these products, so buyers will need to get that information on site or directly from Sony.

Sony says the event will also feature solutions from unnamed alliance and technology partners, though the announcement does not say which partners or what specifically will be demonstrated.

The event runs 9 AM to 5 PM ET with breakfast and lunch provided, and Sony says attendees can drop in at any time that works for them rather than booking a fixed slot.

Notably, Sony is running a tiered access model. No NDA is required to attend the general expo, but the company says a separate area featuring confidential, not-yet-public products and technology will be restricted to attendees who sign an NDA in advance. Those interested must send a signed NDA to a named Sony contact by the Thursday before the event, meaning walk-in access to that restricted area is not an option.

For signage buyers, the structure signals Sony is sitting on additional product announcements it is not ready to make public, a common move ahead of major industry events. The open NDA-free portion lets Sony show off already-announced Crystal LED and BRAVIA hardware to a broad audience during a week when much of the out-of-home and signage industry is already in New York for other events.
