Stratacache APAC Reaffirms Continuity After Scala Sale to Vertiseit

Stratacache's Asia-Pacific business will continue operating independently under Managing Director Manish Kumar, following the sale of sister company Scala to Swedish software group Vertiseit earlier this year. For operators and integrators working with Stratacache in the region, the message is that support, teams and contracts remain unchanged despite the corporate split.

Scala, the content management software once closely tied to Stratacache, is now part of Vertiseit's portfolio. Stratacache APAC, headquartered in Singapore, says it retains its own regional teams, customer relationships and technical support organization separate from that deal. The company frames this as business continuity rather than disruption, according to the announcement.

What Stratacache APAC is selling

Stratacache positions its APAC unit as a full-stack digital experience provider, covering consulting, software, hardware, systems integration, content services, deployment and managed services. Kumar told invidis that customers are not shopping for individual products. "Our customers are not looking for individual pieces of technology. They are looking for solutions that work together and deliver meaningful business outcomes," he said.

That pitch puts Stratacache in competition with other end-to-end vendors in the region rather than pure-play CMS or hardware suppliers. For operators evaluating vendors after the Scala split, the practical question is which software stack Stratacache APAC now uses for content management, since the announcement does not say whether Scala software remains part of its offering or whether it has moved to an alternative platform.

Regional footprint as differentiator

Stratacache APAC says it has teams in Singapore, India, Japan, Australia and other Asia-Pacific markets. Kumar argues that a single regional strategy does not work given how different these markets are. "APAC cannot be approached as one market," he said. "Singapore, India, Japan, the Philippines and Australia each have different dynamics."

This is a common argument from integrators with multi-country operations, and it is consistent with Stratacache's broader positioning as a systems integrator rather than a single-product vendor. The announcement does not provide details on headcount, revenue, or specific client wins in the region, so the scale of the APAC operation post-split is not quantified.

For signage operators already working with Stratacache in Asia-Pacific, the near-term takeaway is straightforward: existing contracts, support lines and account teams are not affected by the Scala-Vertiseit transaction. Whether that continuity extends to specific software products used in current deployments is something operators will need to confirm directly with their account teams, since the release does not spell that out.

Following Scala's separation into the Vertiseit group, Stratacache Asia-Pacific is emphasizing continuity. Led by Managing Director Manish Kumar, the Singapore-based business continues to focus on delivering end-to-end digital experience solutions across the region.

Following the sale of Scala to Swedish software group Vertiseit earlier this year, Stratacache has reaffirmed its commitment to customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s APAC operations will continue as an independent business headquartered in Singapore under the leadership of longtime Managing Director Manish Kumar.

While Scala begins a new chapter under Vertiseit’s ownership, Stratacache Asia-Pacific retains its regional teams, customer relationships, technical expertise and support organization. The company says customers and partners can expect business continuity, backed by experienced teams with deep knowledge of local markets.

Stratacache APAC positions itself as a provider of a complete digital experience ecosystem, spanning consulting, software, hardware, integration, content services, deployment and managed services. Rather than offering standalone technologies, the company aims to deliver integrated solutions designed around customers’ business requirements.

“Our customers are not looking for individual pieces of technology. They are looking for solutions that work together and deliver meaningful business outcomes,” said Manish Kumar. According to Kumar, the company’s strength lies in combining technologies and services into a connected ecosystem while drawing on local expertise in diverse APAC markets.

A key differentiator for Stratacache APAC is its regional footprint, with teams operating across Singapore, India, Japan, Australia and other markets throughout Asia-Pacific. The company argues that digital transformation strategies need to be adapted to local market conditions rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all regional approach.

“APAC cannot be approached as one market,” Kumar noted. “Singapore, India, Japan, the Philippines and Australia each have different dynamics.”
