TVC Fits Motorsport-Themed Restaurant With Samsung Displays and AV-over-IP

TVC Technology Solutions has installed a full AV system at Motor Isle Bar & Grill on the Isle of Man, a motorsport-themed restaurant built around the island's TT motorcycle race. The install centres on Samsung commercial displays for menus and live sport, tied together with a WyreStorm NetworkHD AV-over-IP platform. For operators running multi-zone hospitality venues, it is a fairly standard template, but the case study is worth noting for how the pieces fit together in a themed, high-traffic setting.
According to the release, TVC was brought in from the earliest design stages by the team behind the 3 Wheeling restaurant brand, which developed Motor Isle. The brief covered everyday dining menus as well as live TT race coverage and other sport, meaning the AV system had to handle scheduled content and live feeds without separate infrastructure for each.
The Samsung displays are described as strategically positioned so customers get clear sightlines from any seat, a common requirement in sports bars and venues where screens compete with dining layouts. The release does not specify which Samsung display models were used, their sizes, or how many screens are in the venue.
Behind the displays, the WyreStorm NetworkHD system lets staff route any content source to any screen, which is the kind of flexibility operators need when switching between race broadcasts, general sport and standard menu or brand content throughout the day. TVC also built a multi-zone Audac audio system, giving independent control of sound in different areas so the bar and dining sections can run different audio during changing trading periods or events.
Control for staff is handled through touchscreen panels, which the release says are intuitive enough that employees do not need specialist technical training to manage source selection, volume and system operation. That is a relevant detail for hospitality operators weighing AV investment against staff turnover and training costs.
The announcement does not mention pricing, installation timeline, or number of zones covered by the audio and video systems, so the scale of the deployment is hard to judge from the release alone.
Positioning as an experience play
TVC's technical director, Chris Whitlock, frames the project as part of a broader trend of hospitality venues using technology, including digital signage, live sport and zoned audio, to create experiences that keep customers on site longer and bring them back. That framing is standard vendor messaging rather than new data, but it reflects how integrators are pitching AV investment to restaurant and bar operators: not as a cost centre but as a driver of dwell time and repeat visits.
For digital signage buyers, the case is a reminder that commercial display deployments in hospitality increasingly sit inside a wider AV-over-IP architecture rather than as standalone menu boards, with content routing and control systems doing much of the work that used to require dedicated hardware per zone.

Working closely with the client from the earliest design stages, TVC was tasked with delivering fully integrated AV infrastructure capable of supporting everything from everyday dining menus to Isle of Man TT race events and live sport.
Throughout the venue, strategically positioned Samsung commercial displays ensure customers enjoy clear views from any seating position. Behind the scenes, a WyreStorm NetworkHD AV-over-IP distribution platform gives staff flexibility to route any content source to any display.
TVC designed a discreet yet powerful multi-zone Audac sound system, delivering consistent, high-quality audio across the restaurant and bar while allowing independent control of different areas to suit changing trading periods and events.
The installation incorporates intuitive touchscreen control, enabling employees manage the source, volume and system operation without requiring specialist technical knowledge.
The AV system has been carefully integrated into Motor Isle’s distinctive interior design, with the set-up complementing the industrial styling and motorsport-inspired aesthetic.
TVC’s technical director, Chris Whitlock, says: “As bars and restaurants compete to attract customers, immersive experiences have become one of hospitality’s most valuable ingredients.
“From live sport and digital signage to carefully zoned audio and flexible entertainment spaces, technology is increasingly helping venues encourage longer visits, repeat custom and stronger customer engagement.
“Today’s hospitality venues have to offer something customers simply can’t recreate at home. Great food and service remain fundamental, but technology now plays a major role in creating memorable experiences that encourage guests to stay longer, spend more and come back again.
“At Motor Isle, every aspect of the AV design supports that objective while reinforcing an incredibly strong brand identity rooted in the Isle of Man’s unique motorsport heritage.”
