ViewSonic Launches Foldable Mobile dvLED Display With Motorised Lift

ViewSonic has started shipping the LDS136-152, the fourth generation of its mobile dvLED display line, aimed at rental, staging and event operators who need a large LED screen that can be set up and struck quickly.
The 136-inch foldable panel ships pre-assembled inside a protective flight case. ViewSonic says the all-in-one design lets crews unfold the display, plug it in and be ready to show content within minutes, without a separate build or calibration process on site.
The headline feature is a motorised stand that ViewSonic describes as providing an "industry-leading" extra 44 inches of height, claiming it can lift higher than any other dvLED display in its class. The announcement does not name the competing products used for that comparison, so operators weighing this against other mobile LED solutions will want to check specs directly against whatever they currently rent or own.
ViewSonic has also redesigned the hinge mechanism to hold up to repeated folding, transport and setup, which matters for rental houses that move units between venues on a weekly or even daily basis. Rear I/O ports have been repositioned for direct access, so technicians can plug in without opening side panels or exposing internal boards during a show.
Specs and connectivity
The LDS136-152 runs native 1080p resolution at 600 nits brightness, with a 3,840Hz refresh rate and a 6,500:1 contrast ratio. Dual 30W speakers are built in. An integrated OPS slot allows the system to take an external compute module, and ViewSonic says glue-on-board construction adds resistance to impact, dust and moisture, a detail aimed squarely at load-in and load-out wear rather than fixed installs.
For control, the display works with ViewSonic's own AirSync wireless sharing software and is compatible with Crestron, Extron and AMX control systems. It can also be added to a Q-SYS ecosystem through a plug-in. On the display side it supports split-screen, Picture-by-Picture from up to four inputs, and Picture-in-Picture when an HDMI source is present.
Brian Wei, ViewSonic's head of product management, said the solution is meant to remove the complexity from large-format LED deployment, framing it as a screen that "arrives ready to go" for partners and customers who need to set up in unpredictable venues.
The announcement does not mention pricing, availability by region, weight, or how many units make up a full 136-inch array. Operators evaluating it for touring, corporate events or trade show use will need that detail from ViewSonic or its resellers before comparing total cost against renting a fixed LED wall solution.
